Fresh Oil of Wisdom Moments: CARPENTRY

A Carpenter's Gift: An Inspirational Story about Perseverance
Once upon a time two brothers who lived on adjoining farms fell into conflict. It was the first serious rift in 40 years of farming side by side, sharing machinery, and trading labor and goods as needed without a hitch.

Then the long collaboration fell apart. It began with a small misunderstanding and it grew into a major difference, and finally it exploded into an exchange of bitter words followed by weeks of silence.

One morning there was a knock on John's door. He opened it to find a man with a carpenter's toolbox. "I'm looking for a few days work" he said. "Perhaps you would have a few small jobs here and there. Could I help you?"

"Yes," said the older brother. "I do have a job for you. Look across the creek at that farm. That's my neighbor, in fact, it's my younger brother. Last week there was a meadow between us and he took his bulldozer to the river levee and now there is a creek between us. Well, he may have done this to spite me, but I'll go him one better. See that pile of lumber curing by the barn? I want you to build me a fence - an 8-foot fence - so I won't need to see his place anymore. Cool him down, anyhow."

The carpenter said, "I think I understand the situation. Show me the nails and the post-hole digger and I'll be able to do a job that pleases you."

The older brother had to go to town for supplies, so he helped the carpenter get the materials ready and then he was off for the day. The carpenter worked hard all that day measuring, sawing, nailing. About sunset when the farmer returned, the carpenter had just finished his job. The farmer's eyes opened wide, his jaw dropped.

There was no fence there at all. It was a bridge... a bridge stretching from one side of the creek to the other! A fine piece of work handrails and all - and the neighbor, his younger brother, was coming across, his hand outstretched.

"You are quite a fellow to build this bridge after all I've said and done." The two brothers stood at each end of the bridge, and then they met in the middle, taking each other's hand. They turned to see the carpenter hoist his toolbox on his shoulder. "No, wait! Stay a few days. I've a lot of other projects for you," said the older brother. "I'd love to stay on," the carpenter said, "but, I have many more bridges to build."

Manners & Customs: Carpenters: Carpenters in the Ancient World
Carpenter in Easton's Bible Dictionary an artificer in stone, iron, and copper, as well as in wood (2 Sam. 5:11; 1 Chr. 14:1; Mark 6:3). The tools used by carpenters are mentioned in 1 Sam. 13:19, 20; Judg. 4:21; Isa. 10:15; 44:13. It was said of our Lord, "Is not this the carpenter's son?" (Matt. 13:55); also, "Is not this the carpenter? " (Mark 6:3). Every Jew, even the rabbis, learned some handicraft: Paul was a tentmaker. "In the cities the carpenters would be Greeks, and skilled workmen; the carpenter of a provincial village could only have held a very humble position, and secured a very moderate competence."

Carpenter in Smiths Bible Dictionary [HANDICRAFT]
http://www.bible-history.com/smiths/C/Carpenter/

Carpenter in the Bible Encyclopedia - ISBE kar'-pen-ter (charash; tekton): This word, which is a general word for graver or craftsman, is translated "carpenter" in 2 Ki 22:6; 2 Ch 24:12; Ezr 3:7; Isa 41:7. The same word is rendered "craftsman" in the American Standard Revised Version of Jer 24:1 and 29:2 and "smith" in the American Standard Revised Version of Zec 1:20. In 2 Sam 5:11; 2 Ki 12:11; 1 Ch 14:1; and Isa 44:13, charash occurs with `ets (wood), and is more exactly translated "carpenter" or "worker in wood." Tekton, the corresponding Greek word for artificer, is translated "carpenter" in Mt 13:55 and Mk 6:3.

Carpenter Products Products of the carpenter. There are several products of the Eastern carpenter's skill. Many have wondered what JESUS as a carpenter made. There is an old tradition that has come down to us, that he was a maker of plows and yokes. The yoke, and most of the plow, with the exception of the iron ploughshare, are constructed of wood, and so would be the task of the carpenters. As there were many farmers among the ancient Hebrews, as there are among the Arab peasants today, there would be a great demand for yokes and plows. Other products of the carpenter would include wooden locks and wooden keys for houses, doors, roofs, windows, low tables, chairs or stools and chests for storage use. The carpenter's most ornamental work would include paneling of the roof, latticework for windows, and decorative art on house doors. [Manners And Customs of Bible Lands]

Carpenter Scripture - Isaiah 41:7 So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, [and] he that smootheth [with] the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It [is] ready for the sodering: and he fastened it with nails, [that] it should not be moved.

Carpenter Scripture - Isaiah 44:13 The carpenter stretcheth out [his] rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house.

Carpenter Scripture - Mark 6:3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.

Carpenter's Handiwork The skill of the Oriental carpenter. Because of the use of what seems to the Westerner to be very crude and primitive tools, some have thought that these workmen are lacking in skill, but this is not so. In many ways he is able to use his simple tools in a way that displays great skill. Much personal attention is given the product, and great pride is taken in the resulting handiwork. Carpenter's Tools Carpenter's tools. With but few exceptions, the tools used by the carpenter in Bible times are those used by these primitive Palestinian carpenters of today. The prophet Isaiah names four instruments used by the carpenter of his day. "The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass" (Isaiah 44:13). The "rule" was no doubt a measuring line; the "line" was a marking tool or stylus, taking the place of our pencil; the "plane" was a scraping tool; and the "compass" was an instrument for making a circle, as it is today. The "ax" was used in olden times to shape timber as well as to fell trees. It had an iron head usually fastened by means of thongs to a wooden handle, and so it was easy for the head to slip off. Deuteronomy 19:5 and II Kings 6:5). Excavations at the city of Gezer revealed that the people of Israel in Bible times had developed ribbon-flint knives into saws by making their edges irregular. Finds there also indicate that they used saws that were made of thin, flexible strips of metal that had been set in frames of wood. Isaiah mentions the use of the saw: "Shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it?" (Isaiah 10:15). Jeremiah refers to the use of hammer and nails: "They fasten it with nails and with hammers that it move not" (Jeremiah 10:4). The archaeologists have found an abundance of bronze and iron nails. The hammers they have brought to light were made mostly of stone. Thus CHRIST must have made use of both hammer and nails in his Nazareth carpenter shop. The Bible mentions twice the use of the awl (Exodus 21:6; Deuteronomy 15:17). these boring instruments as found at Gezer were usually set in bone handles. Chisels found there were made either of bronze or iron. CHRIST must have used this tool also. [Manners And Customs of Bible Lands]

Carpenters in Ancient Israel Israel carpenters. Oriental carpenters have plied their trade in the Holy Land in much the same way through the centuries. Visitors to towns like Nazareth or Tiberias have found these workmen to be quite primitive. About the only modern innovation they have adopted has been to have a workbench instead of sitting on the floor beside their working board, as some men, engaged in related crafts, actually do even in modern times. Instead of working, however, always at this bench, they are seen to do much of their work at the doorsill where the light is much better.10 This occupation has undergone little change from the days when they said of the young Messiah, "Is not this the carpenter?" (Mark 6:3). [Manners And Customs of Bible Lands]

Olive Wood The use of olive wood. Wood from the olive tree is often used in the East. It is close-grained and has a yellow tint. The Oriental carpenter is fond of using it. It is especially utilized in the construction of cabinets. King Solomon had the cherubim of the temple, and the inner and outer doors and posts of the sanctuary, all made of olive wood. Fresh Oil of Wisdom Moments:THE TWELVE GATES OF JERUSALEM

THE TWELVE GATES OF JERUSALEM
(Nehemiah, chs. 3 and 12).

In Neh. 3. the first sixteen verses refer to Jerusalem, and the latter sixteen verses to Zion (or the city of David), south of Moriah.  A study of these, and a comparison with ch. 12, will explain most of the difficulties connected with the topography of the city.  See also the Plan of Zion, and Solomon's buildings.  Ap. 68.

1.  The Valley Gate (2:13; 3:13).  Cp. 2Chron. 26:9.

2.  The Gate of the Fountain (2:14; 3:15; 12:37), on Ophel at the Gihon spring (that mentioned in 2Kings 25:4.  Jer. 39:4).

3.  The Sheep Gate (3:1; 12:39).  North of the Temple.

4.  The Fish Gate (3:3; 12:39).  Cp. 2Chron. 33:14.  Zeph. 1:10.

5.  The Old Gate (3:6; 12:39).  Cp. 2Chron. 33:14, and 2Kings 22:14, "college".  Called also the "First Gate" (Zech. 14:10).

6.  The Dung Gate (2:14; 3:14; 12:31).  Probably same as Harsith Gate (Jer. 19:2); sometimes rendered the Gate of Potsherds, from heres, a potter's vessel.  Leading to Hinnom.  N.B. Better = Pottery Gate.

7.  The Water Gate (3:25, 26).

8.  The Horse Gate (3:28).  Cp. 2Kings 11:16.  2Chron. 23:15.  Jer. 31:40.  South-east of the Temple, and close to the city and house of David.

9.  The East Gate (3:29).  East of the Temple, and connected with it.

10.  The Gate of Miphkad (3:31).  Probably north-east of Temple.  ( = The Registry Gate.)

11.  The Gate of Ephraim (8:16; 12:39).  Cp. 2Chron. 25:23.

12.  The Prison Gate (12:39), or Gate of the Guard (2Kings 11:6, 19).

Fresh Oil of Wisdom Moments: ACTS

An old acronym may serve here: ACTS.

That is, there are different kinds of prayer, as determined by what it seeks or is trying to say: Adoration, Contrition, Thanksgiving, Supplication.

Adoration is the first act of the virtue of religion. Have you ever seen a sunrise or a mountain vista that made you want to cry aloud in sheer joy at the beauty you experienced? It is our destiny and highest joy, to find Someone to worship, to kneel before. Adoration is at the very heart of the spiritual life. It is the scene in the Book of Revelation, Chapter 4, where the 24 elders prostrate themselves before the throne of God, cast the honor of their golden crowns before him, and sing, "Holy, holy, holy. You are worthy, O Lord." No one else is truly holy; no one else is worthy, worth it, worth all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. All sin and misery come of forgetting this truth, and going after the worship of false gods, whether these are corruptions of real religion, or mere creatures like sex, money, and power.

Contrition is the awareness and expression of being merely a creature, and a weak and flawed creature at that, in the presence of the Holy One. We make mistakes; we fail; we fall. To realize that and to pray is comforting and relaxing, for it just confesses who and what we are and the way things are. No need to pretend. God loved us before we existed and knows all our faults. God is merciful. God forgives no matter how many times we fail.

Thanksgiving is joyous praise of God. One who can thank God for everything, good and bad, is a truly happy person. Gratitude and joy are so closely related. And gratitude is a basis for expecting further favors. A little girl compliments her grandmother on her wonderful pie — and asks for more.

Supplication. From the viewpoint of ordinary language and the human condition, this is what prayer means — petition. We ask God for what we need. All prayer is asking. The Our Father is a list of petitions, from "hallowed be thy name" to "deliver us from evil." If God is bothered by prayers of petition, it is His own fault. Jesus has urged us, "Ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you" (Mt 7:7).

Fresh Oil of Wisdom Moments: Posts from Mother O

Post from Mother O

Are you co-dependent? Codependency is when you are unable to live your life except through the life of somebody else. Abraham sinned. He couldn't say no to Lot. He couldn't set the proper boundaries where Lot was concerned. SAY NO TO COMPANY THAT IS NOT CONDUCIVE TO WHERE GOD IS TAKING YOU! SEPARATION SETS YOU UP FOR PREPARATION!

I decree and declare, the strength of God is present and active within my body, soul, mind and spirit. Over my family, friends, ministries, and those I embrace. God's vision for me is wholeness and vitality. I align my thoughts, emotions, and beliefs with the truth and I remove any barriers I may have built in fear. I open to the flow of divine energy and life that strengthens, sustains and heals every part of my natural and spiritual man.

SINGING: GOT TO MAKE IT TO THE CITY, IF IT COST MY LIFE! I'VE GOT TO MAKE IT, GOT TO MAKE IT, IF IT COST MY LIFE! IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GO! IN MAMA O'S VOICE

LAUGHING OUT LOUD!!! COME MONNNE DEVIL, COME MONNNE! IT AIN'T BUT A SHOWT WALK! HERE IS THE DISCLAIMER: WHAT YOU FIND UNDERNEATH WILL HAVE YOU FLEEING AS FAST AS YOU CAME!

Please be patient with me...God is not through with me yet. Stay tuned because what's coming is greater, than what has been.

I've been seeking God, for direction, in hosting a Prayer Conference! Is there anybody ready to do it like we used to.......... shut in all night, and cried out for souls to be saved, set free, and delivered. Are you on board? Just saying.

Fresh Oil of Wisdom: Faith and Obedience

                Pastor Oliver in Prayer

Arguing with children can be a risky.

In a grade school lesson, a teacher was explaining a little bit about whales.

A little girl in class piped up and said: “I just learned that Jonah in the bible was swallowed by a whale.”

The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was relatively small.

The girl said: "I am sure Jonah was swallowed by a whale."

The teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human; that it was physically impossible.

The little girl replied: "My Sunday school teacher told me Jonah was swallowed and she would not lie to me.”

A bit perturbed by this, the teacher proclaimed: "That is a “story” from the bible, it is not factual, and I will not argue with you."

After a little thought, the girl responded: "Well, when I get to heaven, I will ask Jonah".

Now challenged, the teacher spouted: "What if Jonah didn’t go to heaven?"

Not at all daunted, the girl quipped, " . . . . . ok then you ask him."

- - “Out of the mouth of babes . . . “

Obedience Respected
More than a century ago the nobility of England, in their colorful finery, were on a fox hunt. The came to an area with a closed gate where a ragged youngster sat nearby.

"Open the gate, Lad" said the leader of the hunt.

"No, this property belongs to my father, and he desires it left shut," answered the boy.

"Open the gate, lad. Do you know who I am?"

"No, sir."

"I am the Duke of Wellington."

"The Duke of Wellington, this nations hero, would not ask me to disobey my father."

The riders of the hunt silently rode on.

Fresh Oil of Wisdom Moments: Praise the LORD!

Praise the LORD!

There was a little old lady who would come out every morning on the steps of her front porch, raise her arms to the sky, and shout, "Praise the Lord!"

One day an atheist moved into the house next door. Over time, he became irritated at the little old lady. So every morning he would step out onto his front porch and yell after her, "There is no Lord!"  Time passed with the two of them carrying on this way every day.

Then one morning in the middle of winter, the little old lady stepped onto her front porch and shouted, "Praise the Lord! Lord, I have no food and  I am starving. Please provide for me, oh Lord!"

The next morning, She stepped onto her porch and there were two huge bags of groceries sitting there. "Praise the Lord!" she cried out. "He has provided groceries for me!"

The atheist jumped out of the hedges and shouted, "There is no Lord. I bought those groceries!"
The little old lady threw her arms into the air and shouted, "Praise the Lord! He has provided me with groceries, and He made the devil pay for them"

Posts from Pastor Vicki Oliver

What we see as virtue, God sees as a pride. God calls it as He sees it. It’s sin. In Proverbs, he said it this way: “Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord" (Proverbs 16:5). God doesn’t see pride (satisfaction with self) as a virtue (righteous).

“Pride and sin both have an ‘i’ in the middle.” The truth is pride doesn’t preserve you, it destroys you. That’s why the Bible says, “Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” Turn your nose down not up, you’ll live longer!

I KNOW, I KNOW, THAT I'M IN LOVE, AND HE'S THE ONLY ONE I'M THINKING OF. THE HOLY GHOST HIT ME AND THAT AIN'T NO LIE, AND I WILL LIVE RIGHT UNTIL I DIE.
GOD IS SOOOOOOOO AMAZING!!! HE NEVER LEADS YOU TO A PLACE IN YOUR LIFE, THAT HE WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO NAVIGATE THROUGH!!! THANKING GOD WITH THE UNDERSTANDING, IF GOD'S NAVIGATION SYSTEM CAN'T PICK YOU UP, YOU'RE NOT UNDER HIS RADAR! BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR!!!

Ephesians 3:20 that God “is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us”. This is the kind of faith and life I want. I may be lacking in worldly wealth and stature but living in God’s will, trusting Him to meet my needs, and leading me in a life of joy and contentment that is beyond my expectation. It is a life money just can’t buy.

Fresh Oil of Daily Moments:Two Nickels and Five Pennies

Two Nickels and Five Pennies . .
In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less,
A 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and
Sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him.
"How much is an ice cream sundae?" he asked.
"Fifty cents," replied the waitress.
The little boy pulled his hand out of his pocket and
Studied the coins in it.
"Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?" he inquired.

By now more people were waiting for a table and the
Waitress was growing impatient . .
"Thirty-five cents," she brusquely replied.
The little boy again counted his coins.
"I'll have the plain ice cream," he said.
The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on
The table and walked away The boy finished the ice
Cream, paid the cashier and left . .

When the waitress
Came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the table.
There, placed neatly beside the empty dish,
Were two nickels and five pennies . .
You see, he couldn't have the sundae, because he had
To have enough left to leave her a tip.

BALANCING EFFORT AND PATIENCE

There is a story about a young man in Japan who wanted to be the greatest martial artist of the land. He thought that to reach this goal, he must study with the best instructor, who lived many miles away.
One day he left home to go study with this great Zen teacher. After travelling for several days, he arrived at the school and was given an audience with the teacher. "What do you wish to learn from me?" the master asked.
"I want you to teach me your art and help me become one of the best martial artists in the country," the young man replied. "How long must I study?"
"Ten years at least," the master answered.
The guy thought, ten years is a lot of time. I want to get his done sooner than that. I don't have that much time. Certainly if I try harder I can complete this task quicker. So he asked the master, "What if I studied twice as hard as everyone else? How long would it take then?"
"Then it would take twenty years," replied the master.
The guy thought, 'That's even longer! I don't want to spend twenty years learning something. I've got other things to do with my life. Certainly if I tried really hard I could learn it much quicker'.
So the student asked again, "What if I practised day and night with all my effort, then how long would it take?"
"Thirty years," was the master's response.
The young student became confused and wondered why the master kept telling him it would take longer.
He asked the master "How is it that each time I say I will work harder, you tell me that it will take longer?"
"The answer is simple. With one eye focused on your destination, there is only one eye left with which to find the way," the master said.

Fresh Oil of Wisdom Moments: Strengthen Your Faith

Pastor Vicki Oliver

Strengthen Your Faith

A Church goer wrote a letter to the editor of the newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday. "I've gone for 30 years now," he wrote, "and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my time and the pastors are wasting theirs by giving sermons."

This started a real controversy in the "Letters to the editor" column, much to the delight of the editor. It went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher, "I've been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals. But I do know this: They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to church for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today!"

When you are down to nothing… God is up to something! Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible! Thank God for our physical and our spiritual nourishment!

Fresh Oil of Wisdom Moments: RIGHTEOUSNESS NEEDS NO EXCUSE!!!

Pastor Vicki D. Oliver

Words from Pastor Oliver

Prophetic Word: God has sent husbands and wives to those that desire them. The problem is when they arrived, you didn't look like what they prayed for. What are you adorning yourselves in? Go back to the mirror and look again. I decree you won't miss him/her this season.

We're living in the hour, where there is so much self-esteem, creature boasting, Laodicean complacency and Pharisaic self-righteousness, a stench in the nostrils of God. The bible "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves" (Phil. 2:3). We should feel like Paul did, "I am the chief of sinners." We don't and why is this? Because the hearts of people are not touched and affected by the grace and mercy of God.

WHEN YOU HIDE YOURSELF IN GOD; GOD HIDES HIMSELF IN YOU, THEN IT IS DIFFICULT IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE DEVIL TO DETECT WHERE YOU ARE IN THE SPIRITUAL REALM!

No matter how cut off you are or how far you may have strayed, we can be restored! One call, that's all, to the Lord, He can lift you out of whatever circumstance you may be in; whether it be spiritual, physical, emotional, financial or anything else! With a single touch of His hand He can bring complete restoration to your life and give to you what He has promised!

Be encouraged. You can never be so far removed that you can’t be restored, your troubles are never so great that we can’t be heard, the Lord’s arm is never too short that it cannot save!

God is fetching you to bestow favor! Why? It could be because you are the byproducts of someone elses failure.

NAMES ARE MORE THAN LABLES; THEY MAKE STATEMENTS ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER. YOUR NAME SHOULD NOT PUT A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH. I CALL GOD HOLY, HIS NAME IS HOLY, HE IS SO HOLY TO ME!

WHAT DOES YOUR NAME SAY ABOUT YOU?

V. THE LATE MORNING OR FIRST WATCH OF THE DAY
(6.00 AM - 9.00 AM)
Acts 2:15;  Prov. 4:16

THE OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY GHOST
Acts 2:4, 17-18
The Holy Spirit came before the Third Hour. This is the first watch of the day. This is the watch for the beginning of sunrise.
Time for healing
[6 AM - 9 AM]
1. Time of Declaration and Utterances.
(Acts 2:15; Psalm 2:7-9)
The spiritual significance of sunrise is having Jesus Christ the King of Kings and the Lord of lords’ rise over us. Instruct the sun that, as it rises over people, it should accurately represent Jesus Christ the Sun of righteousness and bring healings for the soul: the heart, emotions, minds, bodies, families, relationships, marriages in our land and also for the land.  Pray that the sun of righteousness would rise with healing in his wings. There shall be healing in your prayer life, health, relationships, family, government, economy, etc.
2. This is also the time for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit for Equipping for Service and for your Light to shine this day.
(2 Cor. 9:3; Acts 1:8; Isa. 60:1-22; Matt. 5:16)
It was between 6:00 am and 9:00 am that the Holy Spirit came. So you notice that it was after that people said “they were drunk” and Peter said “we are not drunk because it is just 9.00 in the morning.”  What is the implication? That it is the time for equipment for service. That is why, generally speaking for those who have regular work schedules; people start work between the hours of 6.00 and 9.00 AM. God gives the necessary equipment. As you step out, ask God for equipment for the day, “Give us this day….”

Fresh Oil of Wisdom Moments: The King, The Blood, and The Sacrifice

Pastor Vicki D. Oliver

The King, The Blood, and The Sacrifice

Priestly robed master
Speaking life from the wind
The seed yielding fruit
The fertile ground
Sprouting life from His word
The dust of man
The breath of God
The unity of the trinity
The making of resistance
The source of persistence
Sky is for the wings of freedom
Water speaks to the Spirit of man
Earth is formed from the imprint of humanity
The king sealed the word with His son
The ever shining source of glory
Revealed to those bought by his blood
The writing hand, receptive ear, and the cloven tongue

The blood: agent of sacrifice
The dripping source of renewal
The piercing sword of precision
The dying soul
The aching spirit
The mourning woman
The working man
The seed of vitality
Created in pleasure
Conceived in sorrow
The lamenting mother
The destined son
From a star in the north
Fear-stricken ruler
The sounds of the trumpet
Sounding the golden path of the King
The blood flowing river
Carving a sign in the hearts of the sealed
The life-generating source of Heaven

The mental absorption
The government declaring holiday
The day separated from time
The remembrance of His death
Innocent until proven further innocent
Wisdom travails
Understanding dies
Resistance crumbles
The heart of man...diminished
The mind of sanity...destroyed
The spirit of integrity...deteriorated
The embodiment of the law...demonstrated
Unappreciated...devalued...patronized
The sacrifice of death
Diluting the taste of carnality
Falling into the hands of the fruit
...which sacrificed the Garden of Eden
The King...Omnipresent
The Blood...Omnipotent
The Sacrifice...Omniscience

Fresh Oil of Wisdom: Proverbs 31:10-31 (Hymn to a Good Wife)

Proverbs 31:10-31:Hymn to a Good Wife
A good woman is hard to find,
and worth far more than diamonds.
Her husband trusts her without reserve,
and never has reason to regret it.
Never spiteful, she treats him generously
all her life long.
She shops around for the best yarns and cottons,
and enjoys knitting and sewing.
She's like a trading ship that sails to faraway places
and brings back exotic surprises.

She's up before dawn, preparing breakfast
for her family and organizing her day.
She looks over a field and buys it,
then, with money she's put aside, plants a garden.
First thing in the morning, she dresses for work,
rolls up her sleeves, eager to get started.
She senses the worth of her work,
is in no hurry to call it quits for the day.
She's skilled in the crafts of home and hearth,
diligent in homemaking.

She's quick to assist anyone in need,
reaches out to help the poor.
She doesn't worry about her family when it snows;
their winter clothes are all mended and ready to wear.
She makes her own clothing,
and dresses in colorful linens and silks.
Her husband is greatly respected
when he deliberates with the city fathers.
She designs gowns and sells them,
brings the sweaters she knits to the dress shops.

Her clothes are well-made and elegant,
and she always faces tomorrow with a smile.
When she speaks she has something worthwhile to say,
and she always says it kindly.
She keeps an eye on everyone in her household,
and keeps them all busy and productive.
Her children respect and bless her;
her husband joins in with words of praise:
"Many women have done wonderful things,
but you've outclassed them all!"
Charm can mislead and beauty soon fades.
The woman to be admired and praised
is the woman who lives in the Fear-of-God.
Give her everything she deserves!
Festoon her life with praises!

Fresh Oil of Wisdom: Facebook Status 2012-2010

In Prayer, Pastor Olivers goes before the Lord

Facebook Status 2012-2010

NAMES ARE MORE THAN LABLES; THEY MAKE STATEMENTS ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER. YOUR NAME SHOULD NOT PUT A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH. I CALL GOD HOLY, HIS NAME IS HOLY, HE IS SO HOLY TO ME! WHAT DOES YOUR NAME SAY ABOUT YOU?

OH, OH, OH, OHHHHHHHHHHHH!! OH, A OH, A OH, A OHHHHH!PRAISE BREAK!! DUNNA NA NA, DUNNA NA NA, DUNNA NA NA!!!

I CELEBRATE LIFE...WHY? IT COULD HAVE BEEN ME, OUT DOORS, NO SHOES, NO CLOTHES, OR JUST ANOTHER # WITH A TRAGIC END! BUT HE DIDN'T SEE FIT FOR TO LET ANY OF THESE THINGS BE!

The attitude of true humility confers dignity and grace on us, and strengthens us to take intelligent spiritual action in solving our problems.

"Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God. . . . casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you. He giveth grace to the humble.

God is about to do a boomer-rang in your life. Everything that you've put out, gave out, or loaned out in 2011 is about to come back to you.

The success of a race is not only determined by the way you start but how well you finish.
I know I'm under the influence of the Holy Ghost! Why? What is this that allows me not to lose my mind. What is this that makes me hold my peace. What is this that I keep feeling down inside? What is this that makes me love my enemies? Whatever it is, it won't let me hold my peace because it's something about that Holy Ghost I can explain it... I got it. Be Blessed!

I understand that adversity births strength. Strength allows you to push past the present to get to the promise even when it gets uncomfortable.

Just to encourage the family, God will do everything he has promised in just a few days. Right before the release, the enemy will try to reverse what God has spoken into your life. You must understand the process is great but God is Greater and will not allow you to be ashamed before the enemy. Patiently Waiting and Watching, Expecting and Excepting God's next move. Be Blessed.

Pastor Vicki D. Oliver

Wisdom, The Wife of God
(dedicated to Pastor Vicki Oliver; Spiritual Mother)

Cherished by men
Found in the heart of women
The speaking revelation
The walking oracle
The breathing vision
The hearing vessel
The tasting spirit
She speaks...
She leads...
She guides...
She listens...
She observes...
She imparts...
She deposits...
Wisdom, the wife of God

Thy kinswoman, thy sister
Thy Queen, thy Princess
Thy First Lady, thy warrior
She is the understanding
She is the accuracy of intelligence
She is the precision of knowledge
She is the application of information
She is the sensory perception of the mind
She is the direction for correction
She is the philosophy of thought
She is the intentions of Christ
Your name is favour
Your identity is miraculous
Your connections are golden
Your revelations are priceless
Wisdom, the wife of God

Solomon desired for you
Esther fasted for you
Moses followed for you
Ruth abadoned for you
Samuel operated in you
Elijah implemented you
Nebuchadnezzar realized you
Sarah laughed for you
Jacob wrestled for you
Stephen was stoned for you
Lydia sold for you
Paul wrote for you
Christ imparted you
God is still married to you
The Holy Spirit speaks your language
Wisdom, the wife of God

Doctors study medicine
Lawyers study law
Musician study music
Engineers study procedures
Accountants study numbers
Designers study design
Plumbers study plumbing
Electricians study electricity
The prodigy of wisdom
Seeks, her words
Tastes, her food
Breaths, her spirit
Touchs, her soul
Walks, her footprints
Speaks, her language
Studies, her dialect
Meditates, her voice
Wisdom, The wife of God
